NOTHING TO SEE HERE, by Kevin Wilson

Literature -- 4 stars

Lillian was a scholarship kid from the wrong side of the track; Madison was a trust fund kid.  Thrown together as roommates, they became inseparable--until Madison's father made a deal with Lillian's mom.  Years later, Madison is married to a U.S. Senator when she finds herself step-mom to twins.  Lillian, stuck in a dead end job, agrees to help out.  Only then does Madison reveal that the twins have a very unusual talent: they catch fire. ----- Calling this book "original" is an understatement.  Mr. Wilson somehow manages to make the premise not only acceptable, but gentle and humorous.  The twins combustibility is secondary to a tale of love and caring and, most edifying, pay back. A fairy tale for the real world.
