Jackson Brodie - Book 5
Mr. Brodie has moved to a small, idyllic seaside village where he is co-parenting his teen-aged son with his ex-wife, Julia. When Crystal, whose 12 year old stepson works in a drag club, hires Jackson to investigate her husband, she has no idea what a cataclysm she has initiated. Human trafficking is the illness that taints everything and everyone in this story. ----- So many characters, so many stories, and all of them connect somehow. Kate Atkinson has created some quirky characters for Mr. Brodie to interact with, and he does it with Ms. Atkinson's trademark sense of humor and a plethora of red herrings, twists, and surprises. A solid addition to the Jackson Brodie series.
