Mystery/Thriller -- 4 1/2 stars
Elliot is a confirmed bachelor when Gemma Robinson enters his life like a hurricane. Just months later, they are married and settling into his restored Victorian home. When Gemma says her parents and younger sister are moving back home from France, there is plenty of room to invite them to stay for a few weeks until they find a place of their own. At least that's the plan. Plans change, but Elliot doesn't know that...yet. ----- This book is like watching an avalanche. From the first greeting with Gemma's parents, you know nothing good is going to come of this, but you can't look away. Elliot is pushed to his limit, and Gemma can't seem to decide whose side she is on. The book lost half a star because the parents are just a little too obvious in their "off-ness." And then there's the sister. A fast paced, can't put it down book with a final surprise.
