Historical Fiction -- 2 stars
The story of the settling of the Ohio River valley beginning with Marietta and moving on to Cincinnati and eventually statehood for Ohio. ----- It is obvious Mr. McCullough did copious amounts of research for this book--the letters and diaries quoted are many--but ultimately his work was rendered into book form with all the excitement of a high school history tome. Factual, but incredibly dull.
