CEMETARY ROAD, by Greg Iles

Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars

Marshall McEwan left his small Mississippi hometown when he was eighteen.  Now a successful New York journalist, he returns to take over the family newspaper from his ailing and estranged father.  When a historian, the man who was Marshall's father in all but name growing up, is found murdered on the site of a new Chinese paper mill, Marshall makes it his job to find out why.  Taking on the town's leaders is only the beginning. ----- Well plotted with a few twists to keep you turning pages, prove that bringing even formulaic villains to their knees can be satisfying.
