THE GUEST BOOK, by Sarah Blake

Mystery/Thriller - 1 star

A little girl draws a picture in the guest book of the cabin where her family visits every summer.  Someone leaves a picture for her to find the next year.  This continues until the little girl is 16 and her father dies.  Now she's 26 and the family is back for one last time, and she hopes to find out who left pictures for her so long ago because she's sure he (is it a he?) is the love of her life.  ----- The synopsis on the book cover made this sound like a mystery of family secrets.  Instead, it's a Christianity-laced, sophomoric, badly written book.  Predictable, saccharine, cardboard characters, preaching.  Definitely not my cup of tea.
