The Nicci Chronicles - Book 1
Nicci, once known as Death's Mistress when she served the evil ruler Jagang, has been converted by Richard Rahl. Now that Richard and his queen, Kahlan are safely on the throne, Nicci's job is to travel the known world to tell the people peace has come. Her traveling companion is Nathan, once a prophet, who has lost his abilities. A visit to a witch woman convinces Nathan that there is a way to retain his powers, and Nicci can get him there. ----- An interesting if sometimes repetitive story, (how many times need it be repeated that Nicci is working for the good guys now?). Still a readable beginning to a trilogy that continues some of the characters from his Sword of Truth series.
