Ghost Story -- 3 1/2 stars
Kate Granger has retreated to her family's lakeside home to lick the wounds left by her recent divorce. Instead of peace, she finds a woman's body floating near the shore--a woman who has been dead for a hundred years. And the woman is holding an infant. An even greater shock is in store when Kate realizes she is the woman who has been haunting her dreams. What better time than late October for a good ghost story? I just wish this one had been better. A century of secrets, the legend of a lake spirit, a family myth--all the elements are there, but it never rose above "meh" for me. Interesting, but no chills.
