Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars
Anna's father committed suicide by jumping off a cliff. Her mother jumped from the same spot just months later. Now Anna wants to know why. It's a simple enough story idea that has been done over and over. I'll admit I thought, "Oh, another of those dead person returning to help avenge their death stories." I was planning on writing a review along the lines of this idea becoming a genre all its own. Without revealing too much, I'll just say I was wrong. I never warmed up to any of the characters, but the surprises and twists, and yes, ghostly sightings, kept me reading.
