Mystery/Thriller -- 5 stars
Veronica Cavanaugh's husband has a new job. When he disappears while on a business trip to New York City, the plane he was flying is found in the Florida Keys. Days before the disappearance, their 3 year-old daughter told everyone at her nursery school that daddy had gone to "God Land." There is a huge life insurance policy Veronica doesn't know existed and a house in the Keys she doesn't remember buying. And now her mother-in-law refuses to take her calls. Did the little girl know something, or is the history of mental illness in Veronica's family repeating itself? This was one of those free prior-to-publication books you get with Amazon Prime every month, and it's one of the best I've read from that program. Twists, turns, surprises, characters you can't completely pin down; it all adds up to a page turner that I'd recommend to anyone, even when it's not free.
