THE HUSBAND'S SECRET, by Liane Moriarty

Chick Lit -- 3 stars

Three stories intertwine and finally meet in one small Australian town.  Tess finds out her husband is in love with her cousin.  Rachel is still mourning her teen-aged daughter who was murdered years ago.  Cecelia is a type-A personality whose organizational skills are upended when she finds a not-to-be-read-until-after-my-death letter written by her still very much alive husband.  A major revelation comes in the middle of the book which immediately takes the wind out of that sail.  What follows is a lot of character inner dialogue and female angst over relationships and children. ----- I'm not a big fan of chick lit, but the book jacket sounded like there may be a story buried in this one.  There is, but the development is glacial and ultimately pointless.  I found most of the characters to be unlikable.  This book has gotten raves elsewhere, but it's not my cup of tea.
