Stillhouse Lake series - Book 2
Gwen Proctor's serial killer husband has escaped from prison. Gwen and Sam Cade, whose sister was one of her husband's victims, intend to hunt him down. The first book of this series, Stillhouse Lake, was excellent, but a story about a wife hunting down her husband doesn't work twice. This just seemed like an idea that was past its sell date...not bad, but you can't help longing for something fresh. There is a third book coming. On the strength of the first book, I'll probably read it; but I won't be in a hurry.
