The Kingfountain Series - Book 3
Owen's mentor, his protector, and the young woman he loves have all been taken from him. The king, who has grown more power mad and suspicious of everyone, orders Owen to incite a conflict with a neighboring kingdom to give him a reason to go to war there. Following orders, Owen travels to the unknown land and finds a peaceful kingdom ruled by a beautiful and reclusive woman with magic unknown outside her borders. If they work together, she and Owen may be able to overthrow King Severn and put the rightful king on the throne. Owen has to find a way to play the loyalty game while planning a traitorous surprise. ----- These books just kept getting better.
Addendum: To be honest, I thought this was a trilogy, (each book has a definite ending). Then I saw that Book 6 was coming out. Happiness ensued! Books 4 and 5 are now in my queue with number 6 waiting.
