Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars
Father Thomas Martin, a priest with secrets, runs a shelter for homeless boys. When one of the boys is murdered, Father Martin is arrested for the crime. Enter Peter Donley, a man with secrets of his own, who puts his dream job on hold to take up the priest's defense. The stock bad guy DA and stubborn police officer make their appearance. A well-paced, interesting mystery/thriller, and a satisfyingly tense courtroom procedural with enough surprises to keep you reading.
