THE OTHER PEOPLE, by C.J. Tudor

Mystery/Thriller -- 5 stars

1 - Gabe promised he would be home on time to eat with his wife and his five year-old daughter, Izzy, but now he's stuck in traffic behind a rusty car covered with bumper stickers.  Then a little girl turns and looks out the rear window, a little girl who looks just like Izzy.  Three years later, Gabe is still searching the highways for her and the car.  2 - Fran and her daughter, Alice, are on the run, but from who? 3 - In a pristine room, a young woman lies in a hospital bed watched by a nurse.  She has been there in a vegetative state for years. ----- Three unconnected stories that Ms. Tudor fills with well-fleshed out characters before slowly, oh so very slowly, drawing them all together under one history of teenage error and adult retaliation.  A tension-filled story that holds up through to the end with a logical and satisfying conclusion and a final word of caution.
