African Immortals - Book 1
When Jessica and David marry, she thinks they are like any young, married couple looking forward to children and a life together ending in shared old age. Unknown to Jessica, David belongs to a secret Ethiopian cult that makes that dream impossible. ----- I have enjoyed several Tananarive Due books and was disappointed in this one at first. It starts slowly, but built until I was thoroughly engrossed. This is not a horror story dripping in blood. It is more a story of love and relationships and broken trust with characters you come to care about. While this is a story, complete in itself, there are two more books in this series, and I intend to read them in time as they become available on the Kindle library app.
