AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE, by JoAnn Chaney

Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars

Matt and his wife, Marie, are walking on the cliffs when she slips and falls into the raging river.  By the time her body is found, the detectives are already aware that Matt's first wife also died under unusual circumstances. He walked away from that scandal with no circumstances, but detectives Loren and Spengler question whether lightening can struck twice. ----- "If you try to kill you wife without a plan, you will fail." Thus begins this twisty, noir tinted story of love and betrayal where everything is questionable and no one can be trusted.  Ms. Chaney takes her time peeling this onion of a story, leaving you never sure of where she is going or who she'll find in the road.
