THE TEMPTATION OF FORGIVENESS, by Donna Leon

Mystery/Thriller - 3 stars

A Commissario Guido Brunetti Mystery - Book 27
When a friend of Mr. Brunetti's wife shows up in his office asking him to find out if her son is using drugs, there really isn't much he can do.  Then the friend's husband is found beaten at the edge of a bridge, and the Commissario can't help but wonder if there is an illegal drug connection between father and son. ----- I've only read a few of these books, but the Venice location is always fascinating.  Unfortunately, that's about all that captured my attention in book 27.  The subject is unimaginative and the people unsympathetic.  Not up to Ms. Leon's usual convoluted plotting and discovery.
