THE FORBIDDEN DOOR, by Dean Koontz

Mystery/Thriller -- 5 stars

Jane Hawk - Book 4
The madness is spreading.  Some of the "adjusted ones" are going insane.  Her son, Travis, is hiding with an autistic friend in a hidden library, and Jane finds a new ally in a 90 year old Auschwitz survivor.  Now if only she can locate Travis before the Techno Arcadians do. ----- The excitement continues and Jane continues her clever, heart pounding crusade to stop the world from being taken over by mind controllers. While  this book suffered from a focus on  side stories in the beginning, once Jane moved back to the center it was off to the races again. This is all one epic story; you have to start with book 1,  The Silent Corner.  You won't be sorry.  The story is supposed to end in book 5, and I can't stand the 9 week library wait, so I'm going buy it.  I'll let you know if the climax lives up to what has come before.
