THE WEDDING GUEST, by Jonathan Kellerman

Mystery/Thriller -- 3 1/2 stars

Alex Delaware - Book 33
Psychologist Alex Delaware has made a career out of aiding his friend LA police lieutenant Milo Sturgis on his most baffling cases.  This time, it's a body found in the restroom at a wedding where the families are not exactly friendly.  Everyone claims not to know the victim, but then why is she at the reception? And who is she? -----  I've read quite a few Alex Delaware novels, (thankfully, a series that can be cherry picked--no need to read them in order).  This one is typical Jonathan Kellerman--heavy on the clever and entertaining dialogue, light on narrative.  Other than Delaware and Sturgis, whose enduring relationship I enjoyed, the characters teeter on the edge of unlikeable which made the story as a whole only okay.
