Mystery/Thriller -- 3 stars
Ryan DeMarco - Book 1
A mother and her three children are all dead. Husband and father Thomas Huston, a college professor, was last scene leaving the crime scene. Pennsylvania State Police Sergeant Ryan DeMarco is on the case. I'm sure there is a plot to care about in here, but it is obscured by the introduction of every stock character known to man--every one expectedly flawed in some way. Not terrible, but overwritten and unoriginal.
