Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars
Something terrible happened to Esme when she was a teenager, but she doesn't remember much. Now grown-up, living in a different city, and calling herself Alison, she decides to look for the truth when her boyfriend invites her to a wedding in her old home village. One of those books heavy on atmosphere that pulls you in with enough twists and surprises to keep you there.
