Picking up right where the first book ended, Diana and Matthew time travel to Elizabethan England where Matthew is a member of the School of Night as are Christopher Marlowe and Sir Walter Scott. Surrounded by complex characters, real and imagined, they continue the search for the missing page of the manuscript. Are they changing history? And what is happening back in Diana's world? ----- The integration of historically accurate details is seamless. After falling in love with the first book, I was prepared for a let down. It didn't happen.
