Joe Pickett - Book 21
Book : Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett is ordered to be the official guide for a California tech CEO who wants to experience (and share with his millions of followers) an elk hunt. A local hunting guide, who blames the death of his daughter on the CEO's Facebook type platform, sees this as a opportunity to hunt the CEO. With most of Joe's hunting party dead, he and the inexperienced CEO must escape from the mountain with no weapons, no food, and no gear. It will be a race to the bottom. ----- This is one of my favorite series, and book 21 does not disappoint. Mr. Pickett's knowledge of the Wyoming mountains are put to test after test, the result always rendered with logic, realism, and no lack of excitement. The relationship between the two men, who share absolutely no personal common ground, adds another layer of interest to an already interesting story through skilled writing and naturally rendered character development. The series is best enjoyed in order. If you're just starting out, I envy you the experience you're about to have.
Narration: David Chandler is one of the best in the business, and he does his magic again here. Clear story telling, easily identified characters. Another great job.
