WHAT ROSE FORGOT, by Nevada Barr

Mystery/Thriller -- 3 1/2 stars

Imagine waking up in a park, under a bush.  Imagine that the people who find you return you to the Alzheimer's unit of a nursing home from where they claim you escaped.   Imagine that you have no memory of being admitted there. That's Rose Dennis' problem.  She, however, is sure there is nothing wrong with her.  Now she just has to prove it. ----- Nevada Barr has created a character you can't help but love.  Rose Dennis is a meditating, yoga practicing, hippy grandma who is not about to be put out to pasture, not just yet.  There is a predictability and a bit of "oh, come on," but so what?  Part Miss Marple, part Nancy Drew, this is a book to make you smile and enjoy the hunt.
