OLD BONES, by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
Mystery/Thriller -- 4 stars
Nora Kelly - Book 1
When a descendant of one of the Donner Party contacts archaeologist Nora Kelly about a third Donner camp that has never been located, how can she resist joining the search? Bones are found that seem to support local Donner legends, but not everyone is happy with the discovery. ----- I love books that play "what if" with history and science, and Preston and Child are two of the best when it comes to creating these stories. Fast moving with interesting if not entirely original characters keep the story flying. A book that exists solely to entertain, and I'm okay with that.
