Jessica Shaw - Book 1
Private investigator Jessica Shaw specializes in cold cases. She travels light, ready to head to wherever a new case catches her eye. Anonymous tips that start her on a new case are not uncommon. Then she receives a picture of a little 3 year-old girl who was kidnapped twenty-five years ago--a picture that she recognizes as one of her own baby pictures. Surely it's a mistake, isn't it? ----- For a first book, this one is pretty solid. While a PI with no permanent address is not exactly original (hello, Jack Reacher), but the idea of a PI investigating herself is fresh and interesting. Solid characters and good pacing.
