Detective Josie Quinn is called to investigate when two young boys find bones in the woods behind a trailer park--the same trailer park where Josie grew up with her abusive mother, Belinda Rose.  The bones are identified as belonging to a teen-aged foster child who disappeared thirty years ago.  The teenager's name: Belinda Rose.  The twists and reveals are as sad as they are unexpected, and will keep you turning pages well beyond bedtime.  I enjoyed this book without realizing it was the third in a series.  I will definitely be looking for the first two books.
