Mystery/Thriller -- 3 1/2 stars
It starts with a note: "Please make a list of every possession you consider essential to your life." If you are minimalist enough, you are rewarded with an apartment beyond anything you can imagine--but don't break the rules. Original, but somehow still predictable. Interesting, but unsatisfying.
