HIMSELF, by Jess Kidd
Mystery/Thriller, Ghost Story -- 5 stars
Mahoney always knew he was left on the steps of an orphanage as an infant. Then he gets a tip that maybe there was more to his mother's disappearance than a young woman overwhelmed by motherhood; and he returns to a hometown he doesn't remember, but that seems to remember him. A dark mystery served with a side of Irish humor. I loved the ghosts and the way they became the glue holding Mahoney to the task.
